Village Hall Dragon

Hafodyrynys Village Hall opened in November 2008 to provide somewhere for the whole community to meet for any community or family function.

The members of the Hafodyrynys Community Association bought the land in 2000 through donations from village residents in order to provide facilities for the area.

Local residents and any other groups are now able to use the hall to play table tennis, pool, skittles and table football as well as holding coffee mornings, dances, fundraising events and celebrations such as wedding receptions, anniversaries, birthday parties etc.

The hall has already been used for mother and toddler groups, dance classes, local authority meetings and many celebration parties.

The hall is open to everyone and the facilities offer something for everyone.

The building has a state-of-the-art kitchen, a main hall large enough to host up to 80 people for meals and large storage areas as well as a large plasma screen TV / video display and excellent audio equipment for any possible event.

There are more than adequate parking facilities and a safe childrens playground just outside the hall.

As you would expect the facilities include ramps and a disabled toilet for wheelchair users.

You are welcome to make use of these facilities and for more information and to make bookings please contact the organiser for bookings, Mrs Merilyn Lewis.
